Terms of use
The terms that apply when you use this website or take part in our introductions, community events and shared resources.
1. About these terms
These terms are between you and Geared Up Network Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 66 703 585 513, ACN 703 585 513) (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using gearedupnetworkaustraliatec.online or taking part in our services, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or our services.
2. Using this website
The content on this website is general information about what we do. We aim to keep it accurate and current, but it may change without notice. You must not use the website in a way that is unlawful, interferes with its operation, or attempts to gain unauthorised access to it.
3. Our services
We provide business networking services, including referral introductions between businesses, community events, shared resources, and support for collaboration between trade and service businesses. Any specific arrangements, such as event details, will be confirmed with you by email.
When you give us information about your business, you confirm that it is accurate and that you are entitled to share it.
4. Introductions and other businesses
An introduction is a starting point for a conversation. We do not guarantee that an introduction will lead to work, referrals or any particular outcome. We are not a party to any agreement you make with a business we introduce you to, and we do not supervise or endorse the quality of their work.
You are responsible for making your own enquiries about another business — for example, checking licences, insurance and references — before you agree to work with them.
5. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
6. Intellectual property
The content of this website — including its text, design, graphics and the Geared Up Network Australia name and mark — is owned by or licensed to us. You may view and print pages for your own personal or internal business use. You must not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish or distribute it without our written permission.
Resources we share through the network are provided for use in your own business. Please do not resell or republish them without our permission.
7. Limitation of liability
Subject to section 5 and to the extent permitted by law:
- we exclude all implied conditions and warranties that can lawfully be excluded;
- we are not liable for any loss arising from your dealings with a business we introduced you to, or for any indirect or consequential loss; and
- where our liability for failing to comply with a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
8. Termination
You can stop using our services at any time by telling us by email. We may suspend or end your participation in our introductions or events if you breach these terms, act unlawfully, or behave in a way that is abusive towards us or other businesses. Sections 4, 6, 7 and 10 continue to apply after termination.
9. Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our privacy policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria (VIC), Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and any courts that may hear appeals from them.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time by publishing a new version on this page. Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
